I bought this exact model at Wal-Mart for about $28 if I remember correctly.
Works fine for me. Have done leeks and peppers. I do recommend using a
higher temp than they suggest especially if you want your peppers whole and
not cut up into small pieces like I do when grinding into powder.
This is another "MAD DOG INST-POLL."
I am shopping for a small-scale dehydrator in anticipation of harvesting a
nice crop of Thai and hab peppers at the end of the summer. I don't want to
spend a lot of money on a unit with a lot of bells and whistles; I just want
one that is durable.
So far--and I have just started shopping--I am most interested in this unit,
made by NESCO:

Any input from experienced users of dehydrators is greatly appreciated.
