Hi, CH's -- While wandering through my garden yesterday evening after the rain, I got to thinking about the varieties of chiles I was growing (25 or so?) and the fact that many (most?) list members grow significantly more chiles than I do. So, I start wondering -- if I could only eat 5 types of chiles for the rest of my life, what would they be? How about 3? One? So, I thought I would do a list-wide poll and then tabulate and post the results. Here's the deal: 1. Send me an *off-list* e-mail and let me know which chiles you would choose if you could only eat (1), (3), or (5) type(s) -- for all cooking all the time. 2. We won't consider bell peppers to be chiles, but large mild chiles do count -- cubanelle, poblano, Anaheim, etc. 3. Remember, these aren't necessarily your five (or 3, or 1) *favorite* chiles -- there is a subtle difference here. I look forward to hearing from many of you. I hope your gardens and/or kitchens are full of chiles. Matt ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ T.
