Snip: So production and yield really come second to the possibility of getting one good transplant into a pot that my wife would consider letting me bring into the house to overwinter......Snip:The planter is probably around 25 - 30'' around, and maybe 20" high. Seems a 27"X20" planter small enough to consider for overwintering...My wife allowed me 20 pots & pails in cellar. If not & you need to transplant now, take large knife, cut 1/3 of soil around best plant & transplant to smaller pot. No basis on experiences or plant factoid, just my gut feeling. Snip:To be honest, I always grow way more than I know what to do with anyway. OK, you grow MORE than you know what to do with???? In WI???? Damn your better than me! Between drying, preserving & sauces, I haven't "grown" enough in the past two years. If you need any help with what to do with your "bumper" crop, let me know, I'll send you postage to forward your excess.
