I got a bunch of plants through this way (wife not looking over shoulder?), "But Honey, they need sunlight to ripen the peppers, & it's a RARE type!" After the last pod ripens bring to cellar, cut back all new growth & give plant a clipping, 8-10 hrs. incandescent, 8-10 hrs. fluorescent, 8-10 hrs. darkness (important lights as close as possible). Have a Tough Love Chile Co. Tepin.. http://www.tough-love.com/seed_descriptions.html#TEPIN going nuts.. an unknown Jal almost as productive... Tri color ornamental from http://www.tough-love.com/seed_descriptions.html#TRICOLOR doing OK... & another unknown hanging on. The mistake I made was in believing because all the leaves dropped off, the plant had died. The Tepin was brought upstairs in spring with no leaves, left in sun, & came back to life. Will make sure this winter I keep all of them until warm enough to take outside. Hope this helps, Paul ----- Original Message ----- From: "tucker" <tucker@ticon.net> Cc: <chile-heads-digest@globalgarden.com> Sent: Tuesday, 23 July, 2002 7:14 PM Subject: Re: [CH] best variety in pots > The NorthEast ChileMan wrote: > > allowed me 20 pots &> pails in cellar... > > have to buy grow lights, and rig everything up.
