Hey pod people, I need some help in naming a goat. Seriously. We run a small diary goat ranch in NE AZ and have been naming all our male goats - buck and wethers - after chile peppers (the does are all after herbs and spices). We have, or have had, Cayenne, Guajillo, Poblano, Rocotillo, Ordoņo, and Pima Bajo. We're getting another buck/herd sire in a few months and want to keep with tradition in naming but are really getting tired of names ending in "o". So are the goats who are getting confused when we call them by name 'cause they all sound too similar (yes they come when called more-or-less). Any help would be appreciated. I've been through most of the online chile supplier catalogues and chile web sites looking for inspiration but nothing is working for me. It has to be "manly" and not to cumbersome to yell out loud - a lot, and not end in "o". Suggestions? ON topic: Bumper chile garden crops this year in spite of Mother Nature's best efforts to thwart me with alternating droughts, fires, floods and pestilence. Must be all that superb high-altitude sun we get. Jalaps, Fresnos, Big Jims (yeah it's a good possible name), Japones, and several others are all doing mega-great. Thanks, David Black Mesa Ranch Snowflake, AZ
