Hi John, It looks like a mutation and in my opinion it's always interesting to see what comes out of it. On the other hand you can't be sure if it is a mutation between any other pepper, at the moment I have also one plant who shows a kind of mutation. For the third season I grow Cambucy (got my first seed from Chuck) and saved seed each year. Each year it was standing beside a bell pepper plant (paprika) and now I have on one plant more a less bell shaped fruits. The Cambucy is a mild one and maybe it will now have it combined with a paprika taste so I'ts interesting to follow. What I can recommend is to let your weird one full grow, save the seeds and plant it out next year to see if it has mutated it can also be a joke of nature. A mutation never shows up on a plan grown from pure seeds, you can/will only notice the difference when you grow plants from saved seeds from plants who were crossed the year before. (pls correct me if I wrong) When my web site is ready I will put some pictures from my plant on it too.
