I was in Mansfield today and did my supermarket shopping at the Shoprite there. First, I picked up a bottle of Cholula. Second, in the produce dept they had habaneros - 6.99/lb. A bit expensive but I only bought 6 and it came to 11 cents! After the supermarket, we went to Donaldson's farms to pick up some fresh corn and they also had a good selection of chiles. The only hot sauce they sold was Dave's Insanity!! They also had a great selection of other produce. The corn on the cob we got there was unbelievably great. So sweet and delicious. The best corn of the summer. They have a great selection - hot and sweet peppers - all colors. I didn't really pay much attention to the price of the chiles. I didn't buy any there. I noticed no habs though. They had thai dragons (or some kind of long chile that looks like them), jalapenos (of course) and something else - I think Hungarian Hot Wax (??) They were yellow. Anyway, for those chile-heads in the area, Donaldson's is a good location for some things chile. I didn't know until today. I'll be back. Everything was so fresh.
