Home again in Denmark after a fabulous weekend. THANK YOU ALL for a great experience and especially thank you to Jim & Abby Campbell for extreme hospitality. A part from the fields I enjoyed the weather, the camp fire, the company of chile-heads (apparently all chile-heads are nice people - maybe chile's do that to you), the big pots with chili, the fried pork, the habanero ice cream, the chile vodka and all the other goodies that were there. Though, I dont know if I enjoyed the horse radish "adventure", but you cant say I didnt try :-) Furthermore, I had the pleasure Monday of assisting Jim in making a batch of "Fiery Hot Habanero Sauce". I (off-course) had to make my own (frequent) samples to make sure that the taste still was right (Mmmmmm - great taste!) and I experienced that a single hunan hand is an amateur thing. After handling 100+ gallons of ingredients for "Fiery Hot Habanero Sauce" I suffered hunan hands, wrists, arms, neck and face ;-) On top of this I went around gasping and coughing from the droplets of Red Savina which was whirling around in the air when we cleaned the equipment. Dont ever say that making hot sauces is just mixing a few things together! But.... when the bottles stod on the table, line after line with their red lids - it was a great sight.
