I might be on TLC tonight, 10/9 at 10:00 ET, a 12 minute segment on the show "Beyond Tough". My storm chasing team, along with our "sister" team from Illinois (though actually everyone on the show is a member of both teams), filmed a segment with them this late-spring. Lots of interesting things happened, including my alternator dieing at the first shoot location. On the positive side, all of the footage used in the segment will be from that day (they shot 128 hours of video that day!) or from storm footage shot by team members - no stock footage and nothing from Roger Hill or Tim Marshal or anything like that. 100% INCHASE/ILCHASE. On the potentially-negative side, we don't know hoe they cut all of that footage. We did our best to make things realistic and play up the importance of Skywarn spotters and the service they provide to the community, as well as the importance of having saftey as a priority when chasing. But, we all know editors can make footage say whatever they want. While we have high hopes and reasurances from the producer that the segment will be very positive, we, of course, won't know for sure until we see it. There's some confusion in the listings (it seems tonight's episode will be a re-run of the show we're on, which will air the first time on the 16th. Apparantly the people from the "temporal physics" episode had a problem with a worm hole and the holodeck, and created some sort of temporal disturbance.... Anywho, it looks like either tonight or one week from tonight. -- Chad Gard, KB9WXQ INCHASE: http://www.inchase.org Co-founder INSWA: http://www.insw.org Unit #21
