Hi Mike, and list. Found the horseradish folk, and bought two good sized plants for 10 bucks! Left one with the dtr who lives up there, and brought the other one home. Our daughter, Jackie, cut a little bit from the bottom of the root, chewed it up, and said" Huh, that's nothing." Then it hit her, hot, sweet, a different horseradish than she had ever before tasted! It is terrific stuff. I am going to stick my root into a planter, and see what transpires. If you do a google search, there are several places in the States who ship the roots, one very notable one in Oregon, and another in Ohio, the place in Oregon is cheaper than the one in Ohio, also lots of info is available as to growing, etc. Thanks, Mike for that URL, these two kids are just getting into this, and they are working at a health food restaurant in Courtenay BC to earn their daily bread, while they build up their wasabi business.
