Hey Chileheads,

As a part time mexican.... my dad was a Tex-Mex from Laredo, my mom is scotch, I need to get into this
disgustion of grits.
I can eat grits for breakfast along with the best of them, eggs over easy, a rasher of bacon, toast,
biscuits and gravy.
Home fries. A little salsa on the side to liven things up a bit.
Hush puppies are okay.
But....that said I would rather have hominy in a pozole or masa harina made into tamales.
Corn tortillas are tasty not to mention better for the old bod than bread.
Not that a nice loaf of homemade bread is a bad thing.
Being partisan I am prone to thinking that a corn tort fried crisp in hot oil, folded over and
filled with lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, a bit of goat meat, strips of cooked beef or maybe even lamb
or pork has a taste that is very hard to surpass.
There is nothing better IMNSHO than a few hot tamales and coffee for breakfast.
It's getting late... time to go vote.
