(....taking deep breaths after reading #624....) for the Ahia crowd or anyone who has Marshalls/TJ Maxx stores near, I found in the gift section some very nice chile motif ceramics, complete with pepper flakes - from Calabria, Italy - priced at $6.99 up....Almost bought one to hang in my kitchen, but realized I was there to buy presents for 'other people.' The correct spelling is "Lafite Rothschild." Ya gotta give them some credit - they claim to use organic pasturing and pick by hand...whereas if Ripple is anything like Wild Irish Rose - its made from mass grown heavily sprayed mechanically harvested fruit - also heavily chaptelized (sugar added to kick up the alcohol level)....but don't let that sway you - try one of each this holiday season...Lafite recommends vintages 85, 87, 89 and 92 as drinkable now (97 and 99 also, but will continue to age) ; for Ripple, I'd try anything bottled last Tuesday or before... As the 'other' Elvis wrote - what's so funny about peace, love and understanding.... Happy happy chile Christmas! sheryl l chatfield ch#2077 _____________________________________________________________ The information in this email and in any attachments is confidential and may be privileged.
