Margo, I've added some form of chipotles to my sweets before with good
success but haven't splurged on the heavy cream. Maybe I'll go for it this
time. The idea of leftovers as patties is making me think perhaps I should
go buy a couple extra potatoes.

Another version of sweets with chipotles (or any chile powder for that
matter) is to peel and cut the sweets to french fry size/shape, toss with
canola oil and sprinkle liberally with chile powder. I use chipotle powder,
but you know there are many others out there, one of which may be your
preference. Place on a baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until
softened, about 20-30 minutes or thereabouts.

OT Side note, great job you must have -- Art History. If I had a chance to
do it again I'd go that direction too.
