I second the "BBBBBBLEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCH!" on Mi Tierra. If you want really, really good food hit Los Barios. And get their Super Nachos (or whatever they're called) that comes with the chimmichurri sauce. Ask for xtra sauce for whatever you order for dinner. Put on your greens (lettuce/etc.), your meat... Try it on the beans!!!!!!!! BE STILL MY HEART!!! Ask for more sauce - they sell it in jars - and take home with you. Note: best buy like six jars... They don't last long. green, CH #2156 that would kill for a couple o'jars of Los Barios chimmichurri sauce right now... -----Original Message----- From: owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com [mailto:owner-chile-heads@globalgarden.com]On Behalf Of Cuchulain Libby Sent: Friday, December 20, 2002 3:27 PM To: chile-heads@globalgarden.com Subject: Re: [CH] San Antonio restaurant From: "Anita Perron" <porch@mts.net> Subject: [CH] San Antonio restaurant > I just received a message from a travel group that I am on. It's a tourist trap. One of those tourist traps one should go to once, I suppose. Around the corner is Pico de Gallo. Same owners and better food. Ask in the sat.food newsgroup and you'll get very knowledgable replies. What are your geographical/budgetary limitations? Which month will you be here? February is the Stock Show & Rodeo, not such a big deal hotel-wise but April is Fiesta here and that could be since it is held downtown. -Hound
