[CH] Delurking...with a request?

I normally just listen to the wisdom (and other stuff), but my brother,
knowing my interests, has asked me to find a pepper that our mother grew
(fine lady).
She called it a Christmas pepper and they don't seem to be available right
now. The plant was small and kept in a small pot in the window. The fruit
kind of stood up. The color changed through a variety of shades; purple,
yellow, orange, yellow and red. It had heat but no special flavors so it
is probably an ornamental.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Seeds, plants, etc.
