New Year Greetings: I recently got an email that asks about a sauce I'm not familiar with. Here's the relevant excerpt: " I was poking around the internet for a recipe on my beloved Peruvian Hot Sauce and came across your site. Something is in it that makes me drink it straight out of the pitifully-small plastic cups in which it lives ... limes, maybe wachati, some type of chilis. I don't know for sure, but it's green, and it tastes the way heaven must taste when it sweats through my scalp. Interestingly enough, it tastes almost identical to the green hot sauce that I used to get from the West Indian place. Any insights........?" Closest thing to this that I can readily find is Molho de Pimenta e Limao [Hot Sauce Bible, p.61] but it's Pernambucan, not Peruvian & it's yellowish, not green. Any of y'all out there got any idea as to what he's talking about?? Happy New Year, Gene ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + F.
