In previous years, the Red Savinas we grew were definitely hotter than the orange Habs. However, in 2002, the orange was waaaaay hotter than the Red. Can't say why - maybe a difference in seed. Same climate, same watering (or, rather, lack of water, 2002 being the worst drought we've ever had in Virginia). GNS seed has always been a bit inconsistent (both Red Savinas and Franciscas), but this has usually been an inconsistency of shape, not heat.
