Don't know if anyone has ever checked, but the old page(s) might be archived at the Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org/). I had one occasion in which my ISP crashed and lost EVERYONE'S home folders (including web pages obviously) and was able to retrieve 85% of my work from the Internet Archive project. Mike should check into it, it's worth a shot.
