Hi Pods, Someone here said that a fresh (presumably canned would work?) tomato would sooth the effects of too much heat (an oxymoron if I ever heard one)--or at least misplaced heat (in the eye of the beholder, eh Rael?). At any rate, DW Mary was chopping some chiles last night for dinner. Roasted poblanos, nothing that hot, so she didn't pay much attention when she rubbed her eye. Mistake. She was sittin on the kitchen floor crying so I grabbed some kind of yellow tomato and cut her a slice. She put it over the eye and voila! Immediate relief. She then tried it on a cut thumb and said it helped. The rest of the tomato was quite tasty with salt, pepper and Jim's Chipotle powder. This has tasty implications in other areas, imho. (Ouch! Damn that knuckle!) Hot regards, Riley Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Where there are too many soldiers, there is no peace.
