Well, as things now stand, here is the solution and compromise. Thanks
to all who offered input.

I expect to have 40 varieties. It'll be just about an acre in size and
total about 8,000 plants. Slightly bigger than last year- I hope more
people can attend :-) I'll have just about 1/2 of it in clearly marked,
easily identifiable rows, with map. The other 1/2 will be mixed
varieties. They shouldn't be too tough to identify though as I mixed
widely divergent types to make the job easier.

Here is a listing of what will be available: in no particular order-

Tabasco, Variengata, Yatsafusa, Thai Dragon, Orange Hab, Red Savina(R),
Cayenne, Big Jim, Peter, Mutant Jalapeno, Piquin, Chimayo, Tepin,
Poinsietta, Marbles, New Mex 6-4, DeArbol, Aji Amarillo, Purira,
Bolivian Rainbow, Poblano, Cherry Hot, Bulgarian Carrot, Medusa, Star
Burst, Yellow Squash, Dundicutt, Pepperoncini, Serrano, Largo purple,
Red Caribbean, Acongagua, Pimiento, Corno di Toro, Pretty Purple,
Chocolate Habanero, Red Scotch Bonnet, Santaka, White Fire, and African
Fish.

No harvest restrictions- this field will be planted for this event
only. What you don't pick, gets plowed under. Come one, come all &
help yourselves!

Of course, I need to run this all past the landlord yet :-)
