I'm sure she will welcome you to the ranks with open arms. You might try growing one of the paprika chile varieties. I grow the Kalosca paprika and it is quite good. Once you try fresh home grown/dried/ground paprika you will never go back to the store bought stuff that has been a wharehouse for God-knows how long. Scott... ancho chiles are along the same line...
