Hi folks. Many thanks for the lovely batch of replies to my query. It was a two way thrill for me.....getting my first post onto the Chile-Head set-up and finding such a warm (Cor!) friendly reception to boot. And all this, in spite of having rushed it off so fast I clean forgot to check my spelling. At this rate I shall be bringing the Old Country into disrepute if I am not careful. Still haven't identified my 'Mystery' chile pepper folks. It was sugested that it might be 'Fatali' but that is yellow and as far as I could make out, has not the pungent lemon scent. I did think it might be something like the 'Atarodo' I saw mentioned on the Chile Database. Sadly the web site it was listed under, is no longer active, so I was unable to check this one out. Not to worry. After just having finished a super bowl of my favourite Pilchards in tomato sauce with lashings of red wine vinegar and lots of well chopped Kenyan Cayenne peppers mixed into it (Cor! Ahhh! Ooooh!) I shall go and ponder what my Mystery Chile pepper could be. Who knows what tomorrow might bring. Happy 'Hots' to all you lovely guys and gals on the Chile-Head site. Regards Walt.
