Hi everyone. ScotChile update! Firstly, I wanted to thank everyone who responded last time. = Unfortunately, my internet access right now is a bit sporadic and so I = may have missed some replies. Apologies if anyone is feeling ignored! I have a feeling I'm quite a bit ahead of many of you on the list, as my = chile plants are now hardening off in the greenhouse, and mainly doing = well. Most are in 8" pots, save for a couple which are in 10" pots. = I've also planted some directly into 10" plastic cylinders, filled with = earth and over the greenhouse's soil. This is an experiment, but the = plants have survived a week so far, and seem fine. Most plants are = around 4 to 6 inches in height, but some of the later ones are a little = smaller. I'm not going to ramble on unlike before, but I do have a 'situation' = with some of the plants. Not having a digital camera and not having had = a chance to get conventional photos developed, I'm going to have to = describe the ailments rather than show you an image. Basically, some of = the plants have white, paper-thin patches on some leaves. There appears = to be no pattern to this, and none of the plants seem worse for it. = I've picked off the worst affected leaves, but on some it's a speckled = effect and on others it's at the tips of the leaves and in some cases in = the middle. Strange. I firstly thought about the sun, but it's March, = it's Scotland and we don't get too much sun. Can anyone suggest what = this might be and what I can do about it? All the best, John
