[CH] It Finally Happened

Well, yesterday it finally happened...I was recognized
from Eat the Heat!
Funny thing...
I was at a birthday party for a school mate of Trev's.
I was standing in their garage when a woman I know
from my block came to bring her child to the party.
She points to me and says "There's the famous Risa
Golding". I said "what do you mean??"
She said "my husband was watching the food network the
other night and he says "come here. I think that's
Trevor's mom on tv." She comes over to the tv and sees
my segment on Eat the Heat. She said "yes, that's
her." She wondered how the whole thing happened so I
told her the whole story, in a short version (as I can
go on and on about stuff - big mouth I have). She
thought it was very cool.
I know that Karen's been recognized from the show, but
I hadn't been yet. I have gotten a lot of email from
folks who knew me from it but no one in person.
I told her that I didn't know they were replaying it
and I was on the computer when I heard it begin and I
got up, looked at the tv and saw myself. Strange as
that is. I screamed upstairs - "Hey Steve - Eat the
Heat is on". I watched the whole thing again and
enjoyed seeing all my Chile-Head pals.
Glad I saw it again, even though I have videotapes of
it still in the house.
