Paul I usually wait till my peonies are in full bloom before I plant out chiles. (soil temp over 60F) There's an old expression, for these parts, for every night the temps go below 60F, you lose 3 days of harvest. For lesson in SOHK, Plant out a few of 1 variety now, and some 2 weeks from now, keep good notes and compare the harvest.. L.B. Mowing the lawn with a weed whacker. So what was that bright orb that shined in, what color was the sky? Oh Yea, BLUE! And SUNSHINE!!!! The list members in the SW with the heat wave have no idea how cold, damp & dwery it's been for the last 2 months. I can only hope blossom drop ain't been to bad as I'm still growing leggy seedlings indoors. May consider putting in 1 bead this weekend & see how it does. Paul
