From: "Dygurkem _" <dygurkem@hotmail.com> > this is off topic, but I've searched everywhere for information on this ..... I would like to build myself a water/drinks distriibuter, but I would need a water pump. The one I was hoping to use is a normal pump designed for cars (brand new washer pump). I'm trying to find out if this kind of pump contains any oils or substance that could bring a risk in the long term if I'm drinking water/drinks that passes through it. > Thanks (sorry for those who don't like off topic subjects) Jocelyn, Canada, Quebec Why not bring it back on topic? Growing Hot Peppers via Hydroponics often involves using water pumps and air pumps. Now in using this type of pump, available from any Aquarium supply stores, you would avoid the risk of falling foul of greases/oils used in lubricating bearing surfaces on automobile equipment, etc. Worth a thought, eh? Come to that you might even decide to grow yer Hot peppers using this medium. Hottest regards. Walt. CH#2218. An old Chile-Head from the old country.
