[CH] hardening off tip

While trying to harden-off plants, I made a mistake. I have been
taking Remay, to use as a sunlight diffuser. I did not anchor it well
enough and the wind blew it. and had some sun-scald.
I had thought about taking some old storm windows and sand blasting them
to make a diffuser. I went to my local auto parts store to get some
slag. We got taking about the project. He said when he was a kid he
worked for the "Cheapest SOB" in the bus. They would take some lime
and water, make a slurry and paint it on some glass. About the time rain
had washed the lime off the glass, the plants were ready.
I haven't tried it, Just passing on a new/old idea
