Dear friends, Several of you who do not live in such ethnically mixed cities as LA have asked where you might obtain the molasses and pepper in the recipe which I submitted. You may obtain them at Dean and DeLuca in NYC, 800 221-7714. They have worked out a deal with Paula Wolfert, the cooking authority who wrote _The Cooking of the Eastern Meditrannean_, to supply people interested in the food of that region to acquire a "starter pack from them." I know it includes ground sumac and pomagranate molasses, but am not sure if it contains Aleppo pepper. It would not hurt to ask if they carried it, as well.
