[CH] Black leaves

Hi!
     This is the first time I have posted to this group, so I wanted to thank 
everyone on here for their posts.

     My problem:  I ordered a Thai pepper plant, and 2 Carribean Red habanero 
pepper plants, from an on-line supplier.  I planted them in a pot with a 
jalapeno plant that I purchased locally.  The jalapeno plant is doing well, 
but some of the leaves of the 3 other plants are turning black and falling 
off.  I pulled up one of the habanero plants, because so many leaves had 
turned black.  My questions:  What might this be?  Will it harm the jalapeno 
plant (since it's in the same pot)?  And, if so, should I pull up all of the 
plants with the black leaves?
