<<if anyone has more info on this please share>> RE: Indian chap downing 140 something "chillies." Most of the "chillies" (Mirchi) in India are Surya's or similar and yes they are similar to Cayennes. I am in India several times each year and their chiles are usually not fiery hot. They also use their chiles green in most dishes, but unlike Jalapenos they have a nice taste--not a green taste! They dry the red chillies and grind them to make Indian chillie powder. This is added to Garam Masalas (spice mixtures for marinating, adding to Dhal, sambars, etc). The word Garam means hot. Just a note of information and warning <g> for my fellow CH'ers in India it is believed that "a large intake of chillies or chillie powder is supposed to lead one towards greater sexual activity." I quote from the Flavors of India-Recipes from the vegetarian Hindu Cuisine. Mary-Anne
