Good morning. A few days ago the top 2/3 of one of my chiles was sagged and wilted, listing to leeward, the stem almost severed. I removed the damaged growth and found the stem hollow and brown inside, as though some nefarious creature had burrowed through it. The bottom of the stem seems the same, but the remainder of the plant seems to be thriving. Should I think that the hollow brown stem is normal, and that the attack was from without? Or is there indeed a creature, or many) inside??? Until we e- again, JC the Other
