Dear Fans of Chiles, My name is Akiva and I live in Ashdod Israel. I enjoy growing peppers even more than eating them. Currently may garden has Trinidad Round Habanero, the more standard, orange ripening Habanero, Serrano, Jalapeno, Brazilian Rainbow "I think", and a variety of interesting products of cross pollination. Three of my Trinidad Rounds are in their fifth year of growth. One plant that is in its third year of growth, and looks more like a rose bush than a pepper plant is a product of cross pollination between Trinidad Round and the plant that I think is Brazilian Rainbow. I pulled up my Jalapeno and Serrano plants from last years planting after they gave a harvest this summer, because they fell victim to Powdery Mildew and I did not want it to spread to the non infected plants. I would be very interested to learn how long some of you folks have had your pepper plants survive. I am particularly interested to in the varieties that are classified as annum, but all related information would be welcome. I send my condolences to those of you who rely upon New Mexican peppers. Be assured that in Ashdod our summer is hot enough to keep my plants happy and my no air conditioned household sweating. Keep your sunny side up. Akiva
