Hello all- I've been combing town for some TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) to clean pepper seeds of little nasties. The local Industrial Janitorial Supply house has it---IN 50 POUND BAGS!!!! Everyone else has the more friendly replacement- Sodium MetaSilicate (NEW!!! TSP without the P!!!) Does anyone know whether or not SMS can be used for seed sterilization (of pathogens), and if so, at what concentration and exposure time?? A pound of crystalline TSP would keep me in seeds for years, as I would like to sterilize all my seeds at once using Bosland's format of 10% TSP followed by 10% solution of regular store bleach. The old hardware store that previously handled it now sells only SMS. Thanks, Calvin dontwannabuy50lbs [:-( Donaghey
