On my land we basically call it "bambiland" :)

We have deer all over the place and have had to learn the hardway how to
keep them out.

First of all some plants that deer don't like are rosemary, tea tree
pomegranate and lavendar. They don't like those. of course they don't
like the plants that we don't want around either like the thistles, the
blackberry vines.....

We have around our area put up 5-6 foot fences in the areas we don't want
the deer in. We normally either put raised beds in there so they aren't
inclined to jump, because for them to want to jump the fence they have to
have sufficient running space to jump. We also plant things on the inside
of the fence border so they aren't attracted to jump over either, because
they can't see what's on the other side or there are things in the way for
a sufficient landing space.

having dogs within the fenced perimeter helps as well.

They love roses.... so those need to be protected.
