Hey fellow ChileHeads, I'm back! Seattle is a great town, at least from the parts I've seen. Pike's Market is fantastic. All the fresh fish and produce, what a playground for chef. I was a little dissapointed with the selection of fresh peppers though. I guess the "Heat Wave" hasn't hit Seattle hard yet. I can say that if I had the opportunity to return I would do so in a heartbeat. I can import or try to grow my own Chilies just to support my habit. With all of that fresh seafood and my talents in the kitchen I'd be very happy, too say the least. Now the bad news. With all of the rain here in Las Vegas while I was gone, my small garden has been pretty well damaged. I was able to save some of the fruit from the plants, but the water just washed alot of the soil away from the plants and left some of the roots exposed. I have replaced the soil around the plants so I am hoping and praying that El Grande will see fit to save these plants from the ravages of these excessive downpours. Well, enough for now. I must sleep in order to gain strength so that I may work in the garden tomorrow. Night all! Yours in Flavor John "Chile" Whalen
