Despite the chile crop, the Hatch Chile Festival in Hatch, New Mexico
(Chile Capital of the World!) is a go. If you plan to attend (or just
want info), the Hatch Chamber can be reached at (505) 267-5050. Desiree
will be happy to help you. Also, if want info on where to stay in Hatch,
the selection is few but here goes: Happy Trails RV Park, (505) 267-4522
and Village Plaza Motel, 505-267-3091 (Simple but clean, at least last
year.) Las Cruces, pop. 120,000 including county, is south of Hatch and
we have numerous accomodations, everything from Motel 8 to the Hilton.
