[CH] Soil-less Germination ~ Gel stuff?

G'day All,

Quick question. Does anyone have experience with germinating chiles in that
gel media that hydroponics places sell, so that you can use a kitchen piping
bag to drizzle them into potting media when they have "just sprouted  a root
or two". I have read about this somewhere, and it intrigues me. Any
comments.
