I bought a $12 spice/coffee grinder at Target. It was not a name brand like Braun or Cuisinart. It does not leak. It does not take more than 30 seconds (and some shaking) to reduce thoroughly dried chiles to a powder. It can make up to 2 ounces (volume) of powder per batch. The chipotles that I ground up seemed to be even powderier(?) than the anchos, cayennes or habs. I can get you the name of it, but it may not be available where you are. I just went and looked for the sturdiest, reasonably priced model around. Scott... love those powders... KCK
