Was out in my habanero field today,. had a few orange habs so I was checking them out. Orange Habs in my opinion are beautiful when they are at that ripened stage and brilliant orange :-) But anyway enough of that rambling...hehehe I picked about a dozen peppers, all of them looked normal from the outside, very nice and firm, good color, no spots. But every one I opened had the seeds turning black and a couple has what looked to be mold growing on the INSIDE. Like I said , the outside of the fruits looked normal and you couldn't tell just by looking, but every one of them had black seeds and looked like it was rotting from the inside. I looked through Dave DeWitts" The Pepper Gardener" but did see anything specific, What is causing this and how is it prevented. We have aprox 150 plants in this particular field and the samples all came from different plants with the same results.:( Thanks in advance Tom Cuneo www.habaneropowder.com
