I don't have a fruit/veggie dryer - I just learned how to "sun dry" my tomatoes in the oven - these are great in any dish that calls for sun dried tomatoes. . . "Sun-Dried" Tomatoes Ripe tomatoes Olive oil Salt & Pepper to taste [optional: granulated garlic, onion powder] * Take each tomato, core the stem area out * Cut each tomato in half crosswise * Take each tomato half in your hanf, cut side facing out, then give it a quick 'squeeze' to force the seeds out, use your clean finger to get all the seeds out * Place each 'seeded' tomato face up on a cookie sheet * Drizzle olive oil top of each tomato half * Season with salt & pepper * Bake in 200 degree oven 4-6 hours or until 'dry' to the touch * When cool, cut each tomato half in quarters & store in fridge or use immediately Sharen Rund Bloechl Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Systems Sunnyvale Data Center sharen.rund.bloechl@lmco.com <mailto:sharen.rund.bloechl@lmco.com> Phone: 408-756-5432 [or] Fax: 408-756-0912 srund@svl.ems.lmco.com <mailto:srund@svl.ems.lmco.com> LMnet: 8-326-5432 Pager: 408-539-5146 web: http://webpager.lmms.lmco.com/perl/mtrocall.cgi <http://webpager.lmms.lmco.com/perl/mtrocall.cgi> [or] Operator Assist: 1-800-725-5079, pin 408-539-5146
