The NuMex 6-4 is a nice chile that will ripen from green to red. Use it green for Chiles Relenos or green sauces, red for red sauces, and red to make ristras. > Ok, so I planted a few of these this year along with the Red Savinas > (first fruit this weekend - whoo-hoo!!), super chiles, Jingle Bells, and > Habs. > > The Nu-Mex has produced a number of pods, but I have no idea when they are > ready to be picked? They're huge compared to everything else I have, and > the first ones have seemed to have stopped increasing in size, but I'm not > sure if I need to wait for a color change or not. Any help?
