Greetings... >Things have improved here a lot in the past two years. I can buy half a >dozen kinds of peppers fresh or dried and have a fair selection of >sauces. Also 4 to 5 varieties of bedding plants every spring. Things aren't too bad here either. You cannot find anything hotter than serranos or jalepenos fresh, but there are a few OK sauces floating around. I don't like to use sauces in curries though, as they impart their own flavor to the dish. I actually just pickled some jalepenos, an experiment that turned out pretty well. I eat them with just about anything. > I can't help you with mail order but..... I actually found a good place in Ottawa to get stuff. I ordered some hab powder, as well as some of that Dave's Insanity sauce. I'm now waiting anxiously for the shipment. I'm a student, so my lifestyle is a bit too "transient" for growing peppers. I rarely live in the same place for more than 4 months. That, and my apartment right now is kind of a dark cave, possibly suited to growing fungus, not peppers. :) Tony ---------- Anthony DeLorenzo Whitehorse, YT email: drgonzo@canada.com website: http://abulafia.net/ ----------
