Do chocolate habs turn from green, to red, then brown?
I have alleged choco habs that look amazingly like the
Franciscas that look like red savinas, (big, deep red
beautiful peppers). Also, the other Francisca plant has
fruit that looks the same as the pepper at the IA/MN/KS
hotluck... (thanks Sandy/Stephanie, we had a great time)
like the washed-out orange on the catalogs. The Francisca
plants were both grown from seeds from the same packet
of Shepherd's Francisca Habanero. I may just take whatever
I get and make a big batch of sauce and try to hope for better
results next year.

Scott... careful notes taken, each plant labeled... KCK

The chocolate habs I grew last year went from green to brown (no red in
sight a rich chocolate brown colour) They were "blocky" shaped and about 4"
long and the hottest chilli I have ever grown. Later in the season (Autumn
AKA Fall) they changed shape and grew just like orange habs.( only brown)
(wierd) They didnt seem as hot then either.
Unfortunatly I have lost all my seed now anyone have any idea wher i could
get some more?
