After thoughourly watering the soil around my container-grown Malagueta chile, I noticed many small white insects (similar in shape to ants) speedly crawling over the surface of the wood-bark mulch (Cypress). At first I thought they were termites. But after a good close examination of all parts of the plant, I saw may very small black ants on the stems but no insects anywhere else. Does anyome know if I've got a problem? PS I'm growing the chile in a large (43.2 cm. high x 49.5 cm. wide) half-barrel originally meant for planting miniture fruit-trees in. ==================================================================== Bob Batson L 39 12 14 N 94 33 16 W bob@sky.net Kansas City TCS - Mystic Fire Priest USDA zone 5b ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Under the most controlled conditions, the experimental apparatus will do exactly as it pleases.
