Thanks to Tom Bryant and Byron for their messages about my purple serranos.
They have now turned bright red and are tasting good! So much for my impatience!
Tom - I'm sorry, it looks as though we're not patenting 'serraboos' just yet :)
Now a plea for more help - my Robustinis are just ripening and I believe
that are
useful for pickling. Can someone give me a good recipe for pickling them please.
Reading about problems with seed suppliers, perhaps I could mention that
here in Eastern England I had 100 percent germination from 12 varieties of
chiles from Tough Love. The thirteenth variety - mexibell - was not quite as
good (unlucky thirteenth?).
They are all growing in 7 to 8 inch pots crammed together in a small
greenhouse and have
good sizes chiles on them - all except the habs are ripening well and the
habs are understandably just a bit behind.
Regards all,
Ron Hill.
