Apologies.

I didn't mean to get you all steamed about the chick pea thing.  I just
thought that I would post an alternative (but similar) recipe.  I put the
word "authentic" in quotes for a reason.  

I'm not calling you a lousy cook for using curry powder.  And I probably
will check out your recipes, as I am also a vegetarian, and a curry lover.
