Pods, I'm having a little fun on a sunny morning while my sister visits from Miami. Due to some satisfactory dealings with some local plant producers earlier this season, I have a crazy grab bag of pepper varieties, and several are already ripening. This morning I thought I'd try stringing a ristra, and I laid out the sequence of peppers on the table before I threaded them. I alternated twisty little cayennes with orange habs, red Jamaicans, and an arrivivi as a centerpiece. The effect was like a wild necklace. I had my sister photograph me with it on a black shirt, and now it's hanging on a breezy shelf to dry. YKYACHI you finish stringing a ristra, and you lick the needle.
