thanks to Dave, I made my first ristra today with our superchilis. I am so proud of it and it so pretty that I think I am going to try to make wreaths out of it and give them as gifts. I used regular thread, but you can't string as many because I don't think it'll hold the weight. next time, I'll probably use fishing line as suggested and string more up. We have so many chile peppers from 4 plants that we've been drying them and grinding them and we still can't use them all up. The ristra is so easy and just gorgeous with the beautiful red color. Of course, they are also useful since you can take them right off to cook with if you want. I am curious if they'll dry okay since I'm in SE N.C. where it is humid. I'm going to hang them near a sunny window in the house and hopefully that will keep them dry. Any suggestions for another way would be appreciated since it is very humid here outside. -- Vikki
