This week's project is to build a coldframe for my pepper garden (the peppers were put in about a month to 6 weeks late this year). My garden is about 8'X4' and we're having day temps around 80F and night temps in the 50's. I've called around my local greenhouses and none sell any small greenhouse panels, so I'm thinking of building it out of panels for flourescent light fixtures (I don't have any cheap glass hanging around). I do have some old bricks laying around, so I was thinking about putting them in the cold frame with the peppers to absorb the heat and then radiate it out during the night. Does anyone have any experience/tips with using cold frames to hold extend the seasons for peppers? Thanks, Dan Cole Roanoke, VA
