Last year I purchesed some connectors at a flea mkt. These were like
corner pieces and rafter type pipe couplers. They are made for fitting EMT
AKA Electircal/Mechanical Tubing for electrical wiring in Commericial
Buildings
  They had some eye hooks to use for clamps, The concept is to make a 
portable shed or storgae space.
  I set mine up 6 weeks early to warm the soil, then take the plastic off
for the summer and then reinstall plastic in fall gives me about 12 extra 
weeks. 
  I did clamp some strapping on the metal so I could staple the plactic 
onto the wood.
